For the offices of a major financial group in Zurich, located on Bahnhofstrasse, UniFor and Citterio continue a consolidated collaboration developed across multiple international projects. Following the Birmingham headquarters, the intervention reflects a shared approach to workplace design, combining bespoke furnishing solutions and partition systems to create a coherent, functional, and people-oriented working environment.

Developed across four floors, the project is a coordinated design effort involving architects, interior designers ACPV, and the client. The spatial concept is based on a user-centered approach that promotes workplace wellbeing, translating operational needs into a structured layout that balances individual workspaces, meeting areas, and informal environments.

Citterio’s Wood Wall partition system plays a fundamental role in articulating the interior. Single-glazed configurations in natural oak define the office areas, while double-glazed solutions are introduced in meeting-intensive zones to enhance acoustic insulation and privacy, maintaining transparency while responding to different spatial requirements.

UniFor’s contribution includes a comprehensive range of bespoke furnishings developed for each floor. Meeting and conference tables of varying dimensions are designed to accommodate various configurations, with finishes in oak, metal, and lacquer that respond to the specific identity of each environment.

Custom-designed sideboards form a recurring element throughout the project, defined by softened geometries and a material contrast between wooden structures and marble tops. Distributed across meeting rooms and private offices, these elements contribute to a coherent visual identity while integrating storage and display functions within the architectural framework.

Custom-designed storage cabinets and sideboards, characterized by rounded geometries and material contrasts, are distributed throughout offices and meeting rooms. Additional elements, including integrated seating along circulation areas and dedicated solutions for break spaces, contribute to a balanced and functional workplace environment.

Additional integrated elements extend along circulation areas, where built-in benches introduce moments of pause within the workflow. These reinforce the continuity of the design language, transforming transitional spaces into functional and perceptually active zones.

On the upper floor, dedicated to more informal use, the break area is defined by bespoke high tables that maintain alignment with the overall material palette. These elements support moments of exchange and interaction, complementing the more structured environments dedicated to focused work and formal meetings.

Across all floors, the project reflects a careful integration of architecture, partition systems, and custom furnishings. UniFor and Citterio’s combined expertise produces a workplace that balances precision and adaptability for a complex, contemporary office environment.
