Molteni&C participates at the XXII international exhibition of the Triennale di Milano as technical sponsor

Molteni&C is technical sponsor of the XXII Triennale di Milano, furnishing the cafeteria with the custom made chair Norma, designed by Giulio Iacchetti, and the lounge rattan armchairs D.270.2 designed by Gio Ponti.

An important contribution of the Molteni Group is giving to an important institution that represents the design in Milan together with Italian companies, ambassadors of the ‘Made in Italy’ in the world.

“I tried to restore a sense of “normality” to this chair, underlining the “norms” by which good, reassuring, geometrically solid furniture is made, with its purpose instantly recognisable. At the same time, however, I focused on the construction details: observe the design of the backrest, which is inserted harmoniously into the rear uprights, or the perfectly shaped solid wooden seat, and even the chair’s stackability: an unusual feature for an all-wooden chair, but an absolute must for a chair to be used in public spaces.” – Giulio Iacchetti
