Herzog & de Meuron in collaboration with Coima Image
The Feltrinelli Porta Volta complex, the first building in Italy by the firm Herzog & de Meuron that is open to the public, plays an important role in a strategic area of Milan that has been undergoing a far-reaching process of urban regeneration in recent years. For this important project, UniFor provided the furnishings and partition systems for the three upper floors, including both series products and custom works conceived specifically for the unique spaces by Studio Herzog & de Meuron in collaboration with Coima Image.
The two floors devoted to offices are defined by full-height partition walls adapted to the project specifications, with structure in natural-finish aluminum fixed at the ceiling and glazed paneling inserted in guides concealed in the raised flooring. The reading room at the top floor has been furnished exclusively with custom works designed by the architects to complement the forms and geometries of the building.
The library tables, also designed specifically for the space, feature frames in painted steel and aluminum, tops in oak, stained in matte black. The task areas, offices, meeting rooms, and waiting/lounge areas are furnished with Vitra chairs and sofas, while the break areas are equipped with Molteni&C Dada Engineered kitchens in white laminate, with top and backsplash in Corian.

Architects PDP London
Developers CIT and architects PDP London have tirelessly rebuilt the iconic crescent, originally commissioned by the Prince Regent in 1820 but badly damaged during the second world war and hastily rebuilt with a replica frontage in the 1960s. The Molteni&C Contract Division created custom kitchens and wardrobe systems for the residences at Regent’s Crescent, with designs that articulate the elegant aesthetic found throughout the development.
