Pierre Cartier llegó a Nueva York en 1909. Se cuenta que, en 1917, adquirió la mansión de la Quinta Avenida a cambio de un excepcional collar de perlas. Los interiores de esta mansión, que en su día fue una residencia privada y en la actualidad es un lugar emblemático de la ciudad, han sido reinterpretados por la arquitecta Laura González, quien ha sabido combinar el lujo refinado con un ambiente cálido y acogedor. Para este proyecto de The Office of Thierry W Despont Ltd., Molteni&C ha contribuido con una cuidada selección de diseños.

To bring back to life the boutique as it probably was when Louis Cartier moved into rue de la Paix in the late 19th Century; to imagine the interiors as he would have done; to rebuild them starting from his original archives; to work using the garlanded tables he so loved. This is the approach which guided architects Sylvain and François Dubuisson in their restoration of the historic Paris boutique. And the result of this careful and delicate operation, finished in December 2005, fully justifies the approach, featuring a curated contribution by Molteni&C.
