BORGO SANT’ANDREA, AMALFI

Tucked into the cliffs of Conca dei Marini, Borgo Sant’Andrea is a reimagined 1960s hideaway with sweeping sea views and a private pebbled beach. A four-year restoration turned this mid-century hotel into a jewel of the Amalfi Coast, complete with hand-painted tiles, olive groves, and iconic designs by Gio Ponti from the Molteni&C Heritage Collection.
Throughout the family-owned hotel, Gio Ponti armchairs the D.153.1, D.151.4, and D.156.3, as well as the D.552.2 small tables, blend with custom local craftsmanship, creating a soulful balance between vintage charm and coastal calm. Every space opens to the horizon; every corner invites you to linger.

LA CAVA BOUTIQUE HOME, VAL DI NOTO, SICILY

Hidden within the stone walls of an ancient quarry, La Cava Boutique Home is an icon by nature of its location. Part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, this peaceful Sicilian hideaway sits where Baroque history meets modern design.

Gracefully embedded within the scenic terrain of La Reserva in Sotogrande on the Southern tip of Spain, Tai Villa is a compelling expression of contemporary architecture, harmoniously melding with its natural surroundings. Designed by Ruiz Moriche, the villa offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, creating an uninterrupted dialogue between interior and exterior spaces.

Throughout the home, Molteni&C furnishings from renowned designers such as Gio Ponti, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, Naoto Fukasawa and Dante Bonuccelli have been carefully curated to shape the atmosphere and complement the villa’s unique architectural vision. The home’s layered design embodies a fluidity that mirrors the project’s philosophy of balance, sustainability, and elegance.

Special attention and focus are given to the outdoor spaces, including an expansive terrace defined by the Sway outdoor sofa and coffee tables by Yabu Pushelberg, creating a relaxing sanctuary to enjoy stunning views of the natural landscape. The Cobea dining chairs by Vincent Van Duysen carve out an intimate space for conversation while dining alfresco under a shaded pavilion.

On a quiet stretch of Sicily’s eastern coast, the Brucoli Lighthouse stands at the juncture of land and sea. Built in 1911, the lighthouse has been lovingly restored into an intimate retreat where modern design meets elemental nature.

With views of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea, the interiors are pared back and poetic. Molteni&C’s clean lines and warm textures echo the simplicity of the setting. Like many of Gio Ponti's other pieces, the D.154.2 was conceived for a private client, the collectors Anala and Armando Planchart, as part of the project for their villa in Caracas, Venezuela.
